These classes are suitable for expectants mums of at least 14 weeks into their pregnancy. The classes will be gentle and safe for all women, whether new to yoga or already with some experience. Women are advised not to participate in the class if there is a history of repeated miscarriage and to consult with their doctor that they are able for gentle exercise. Classes can be continued until the birth of your baby.

                                                                

What the classes cover:

The class will incorporate rhythmical sequences and movements, integrating the flow of breath and carefully adapting yoga postures to the needs of pregnant women. Yoga postures and movements will provide more space for the baby and may alleviate many pregnancy discomforts. Bodywork will be complemented with subtle breathing techniques and the use of sound. The classes end with a deep relaxation allowing the body to release tensions and the mind to become still, so both mother and baby are nourished and energy is renewed.

Attending the class:

  • You can wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement   
  • Yoga is practiced on bare feet                    
  • Let me know if you have any injuries or medical conditions prior to the class     
  • Please bring 2 cushions and a small blanket from home for use especially during the relaxation
