I have practised body-work for 20 years. My interest began with Contemporary Dance, which I practised for 8 years. During my dance training at the London Contemporary Dance School I was exposed to techniques that incorporated elements of yoga and mindful movement. It was then that I started studying yoga, developing a passion for it. Yoga became my main practice, it allowed me to move the attention inwards, creating a space for personal change and growth, as well as helping me to maintain and develop my physical, mental and spiritual well-being. I was also drawn to the study of Eastern Philosophies, especially Buddhism, and I started practising meditation.

I have now been practising yoga for 11 years. I qualified as a teacher in 2004, after two years of intense study at The Edinburgh Iyengar Yoga Centre. I have also participated in many courses and retreats with international senior teachers and in 2007 I studied at the Iyengar Institute in Pune, India.

Over the last few years I have studied the approach to yoga taught by Vanda Scaravelli, attending classes with some of her main pupils, like Sophy Hoare and Diane Long. I have also taken part in a training programme with Marc Woolford, which has opened a new dimension to the practise of yoga, bringing more ease and joy to my practise and teaching.

I developed an interest in Pregnancy Yoga and in 2006 I took part in the training offered by Birthlight Foundation in the UK, obtaining my Certificate in Perinatal Yoga.

I have a great interest in Ayurveda, which means 'science of life' (Ayu: life, Veda: knowledge). It is a truly holistic medical system, including diet, lifestyle, yoga postures, herbal medicine and massage amongst others. I have followed Ayurveda for the last 10 years and this together with the practise of yoga has greatly enhanced my well-being.

I am Thai Yoga Massage Therapists and half way through my studies of Shiatsu.

I continue to enjoy dance through 5 Rhythms and Contact Improvisation.
